Six textile objects placed on metal pedestals form a background choir. They were developed for the stage of the “Bassano Saal”, an event hall well known for different functions like weddings, presentations, exhibitions or recitals, located at the second floor of the Museum of Art History Vienna. The “Bassano Saal” was rented for five days by the “Kärntner Kultur Stiftung”, The Carinthian Cultural Foundation. At the opening event the background singers formed the visual scenery for the speeches of very important personalities and about 250 invited guests. The eyes, mouths and hair ornaments of the objects were designed as interchangeable modules and can be swapped as required and as desired. Several party spotlights accentuate the character of a stage production and enliven the colorful figures with a programmed change of colors.
