Edith Payer uses the forest diorama as a setting for designs well known as shop windows and likes. It is also similar to the displays in department stores, which are designed thematically or seasonally to display and advertise various products. The artist placed a series of object compositions in the model-like landscape and arranged them carefully so that they are reminiscent of still lives (natura morte), but also of the arrangements of product groups in advertising. Some groupings are more opulent, and their appearance prompts the beginnings of a "garbage island." These objects originate from Payer's private collection of materials and for the diorama were supplemented with findings and products from Sarajevo.
The glass vitrine was situated nearby. Here the artist works with similar materials. In this case, however, the objects are staged in like at a tool wall storage.
