At several visits to the site, from the outbuildings and directly from the rooms of the ancient castle Schloss Lind, we collected reference materials for a publication that can be understood as an “everyday archaeological portrait” of the whole complex.
The collected material – photos and found ¬objects – was composed into a variety of different tableaus. The compilations reflect on one hand the special characteristics of the site, but also address its checkered history. 1942 to 1945 the castle was used as a subcamp of the concentration camp Mauthausen. In Early 1990s it was leased by the artist Aramis, who used the whole building as stage for his installations. Since 2010 Andreas Staudinger and Britta Sievers operate the castle as "das ANDERE heimatmuseum", a place of remembrance and cultural exchange. The tableaus display collections of material sorted by location as well as thematically sorted compilations of the photographs taken all over the place.
